THE 39TH CANNES YACHTING FESTIVAL CLOSES WITH RECORD NUMBERS

The 2016 Cannes Yachting Festival drew to a close on Sunday 11th September having welcomed 630 boats, a record number for Europe’s largest in-water show. Boasting 191 new models more than any other show, the Cannes Yachting Festival cemented its position as the leader in innovation and product launches.

The 2016 Festival in figures

– More than 51,000 visitors from the 5 continents
– 60% foreign visitors
– 630 boats from 2.10 to 52m long
– 530 exhibitors (60% from abroad)
– 191 new items
– 120 sailing boats
– 102 semi-rigid inflatable boats
– 45 multi-hulls
– 40 second-hand boats from 22m to 52m long

– 300,000m² exhibition area
– 2 marinas: for multi-hulls and semi-rigid inflatable boats
– 10 km of boats
– 3 km of floating pontoons set up
– 4 pass-ways: floating pontoons with a motorised central section that opens to let visitors move around freely in the harbour and let boats out on sea for test runs.
